MISCHIEF, the team behind the multi award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong, rewrite ancient history with a brand-new musical comedy, THESPIANS, the first musical created by ‘the funniest theatre troupe in Britain’ (Daily Telegraph).

Greece is the word. Ancient Greece to be specific. It’s the year 534 BC and the entire country has been ravaged by a dreadful drought.

Thespis and his sister Poly live on the tiny island of Ikaria where nothing ever really happens, until the entire population (all five of them) are forced to go to Athens to compete in a deadly prayer competition. All hope is lost until Thespis stumbles upon something that will change the world forever.

If you thought something funny happened on the way to the forum, wait until you hear what happened en route to the amphitheatre!

The cast for this uplifting Grecian musical comedy romp comprises: Allie Dart (Unfortunate; The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch, The Comedy About Spies); Ashley Tucker (Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, Pride & Prejudice* (Sort Of ), Baskerville); Claire-Marie Hall (original Broadway & West End cast Operation Mincemeat); Curtis Patrick (Young Frankenstein, A Streetcar Named Desire); James Spence (Unfortunate; The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch); Josh Patel-Foster (Oliver!, Roman Holiday); Luke Latchman (Now That’s What I Call A Musical, Sunset Boulevard); Marc Pickering (The Play What I Wrote, Bleak Expectations); Matt Cavendish (The Comedy About Spies, Christmas Carol Goes Wrong); Mia Jerome (The Manningtree Witches, Romeo & Juliet) and Rhys Taylor (Millennials; Everybody’s Talking About Jamie).

Written by Jonathan Sayer (co-writer of The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About A Bank Robbery) and Ed Zanders (musical director Mischief Movie Night), and packed with comedy, chaos and choreography, do not miss MISCHIEF’s first musical about the power of walking a greek mile in someone else’s sandals.
