Stage and screen stars AMANDA ABBINGTON and NOAH VALENTINE have joined the previously announced TOBY STEPHENS in this summer's highly anticipated revival of Peter Shaffer's award-winning drama.

One of the finest actors of his generation, Toby Stephens has played countless iconic Shakespeare characters for the RSC as well as a memorable Bond villain opposite Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day. Amanda Abbington has been a favourite in some of the most popular TV series including Sherlock, Mr. Selfridge and After You've Gone. On stage, she recently starred as the iconic Beverly in Abigail's PartyNoah Valentine played series regular Preston Walters in the BBC's Waterloo Road, and starred in the acclaimed Noughts and Crosses at the Regents Park Open Air Theatre.

The cast also includes Bella Aubin, Emma Cunniffe, Paula James, Colin Mace, Ed Mitchell and David Rubin with Luke Hodkinson, Aristide Lyons, Zach Parkin, Tommi Sutton and Moses Ward.

In Equus, Peter Shaffer brings together two powerhouse roles, psychiatrist Martin Dysart (Toby Stephens) and his teenage patient Alan Strang (Noah Valentine). Inspired by a true story, the play sees a bond developing between the boy and the doctor as Dysart searches for answers to the teenager’s obsessive interest in the horses he cares for.

The Theatre Royal Bath hosts the only performances outside of London for this brand-new co-production with the critically acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory.

One of the country’s most-sought-after directors, Lindsay Posner leads a stellar creative team including Paul Farnsworth (set & costume design), Paul Pyant (lighting design), Adam Cork (sound design), and movement from Olivier Award winning choreographer James Cousins.
