What parents said: "I was really impressed with how well the staff communicated with me about my child. It was clear that every adult truly cared and wanted her to have a positive experience."
Secret Gardens - Artist Retreat - Current
As part of our year long Secret Gardens programme, we launched an Artist Retreat. Over an intensive weekend, we brought together 25 artists, including 4 young artists aged 10–18 to explore and shape the projects.
We shared our reimagined version of The Secret Garden, and started work on the creative projects that will reach hundreds of children and young people aged 0–18 in schools, hospitals and community spaces across the South West.
Secret Gardens - Artist Retreat - Current
The retreat included engagement with the social model of disability and climate dramaturgies and how these intersect, the guiding principle at the core of this programme. Together, we laid the groundwork for joyful, inclusive and thought-provoking artistic experiences.

Charlie joined the governor’s board at Bath College and was the Student Union Rep for Diversity & Equality. He is now studying Drama at Bath Spa University and is a Young Board Associate for Theatre Royal Bath.
"I came to Bath College as someone who likes theatre, now I’m leaving as a theatre maker with my eyes on supporting the disabled theatre community and changing the way people see disability. I highly recommend BTA for those who have a really strong passion and belief. There is no greater thing than doing what you love!"
Charlton Farm Hospice Partnership
As part of a three-year programme, we presented a dedicated performance of Snow Mouse for children from Charlton Farm Hospice.
Working with a team of talented artists, this programme created joyful, accessible theatre experiences. Each artistic interaction is carefully tailored to the needs of the children and families attending, providing significant learning for The Egg
