Uproar - A Festival of Pandemonium & Disorder
This Spring Term, our young theatre-makers dive headfirst into the chaos and unruliness of living. Together, they’ll explore themes of big impacts from small decisions, ask hard question, and try to unpick what it means to be a young person in this ever-changing chaotic universe.
Our 12-14 and 14-18 Acting groups will work together on Chaos by Laura Lomas. In this play a series of characters search for meaning in a complicated and unstable world. Bouncing through physics, the cosmos, love and violence, they find order in the disorder of each other.
From locked rooms to school yards to bus stations, the ordinary becomes extraordinary and the extraordinary unexplained. Through chaos they discover who they are, understand the way they relate to the world and invent an identity they're proud of. Navigating life, loss, and love, our young people will have the chance to give chaos a new meaning from the perspective of today's youth.
