Building on the outstanding success of previous years TEDxBath is bouncing back in 2025 with a brand-new series of Salon talks. Join us at The Egg theatre for an interactive TEDxBath event, featuring two exciting new speakers on stage in conversation and audience interaction.

Our speaker on the 12th June will be Author, Broadcaster & University of Bath Professor of Practice, Dr. Margaret Heffernan

Dr. Margaret Heffernan is an acclaimed author, BBC broadcaster, and Professor of Practice at the University of Bath. A former CEO of several tech media companies in the U.S., she has been recognized as one of the !Top 100 Media Executives” by The Hollywood Reporter.

Her six bestselling books explore intersection of business, leadership, and human behaviour and have been described as "meticulously researched, universally relevant and hard to fault," with The Financial Times naming one as !one of the most important business books of the decade.” Her TED Talks have reached over 15 million viewers, and in 2023, she was inducted into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame for her enduring contribution to management thinking. Her latest book, Embracing Uncertainty (2025), presents a powerful case for the vital integration of the arts into all aspects of our lives fostering creativity, innovation, and resilience—arguing that in an unpredictable world, integrating art into life has never been more essential to our future.

Our Host for the evening will be Student & Young People Ambassador, TEDxBath Cass Coulston

Cass Coulston is the Student & Young People Ambassador at TEDxBath and an experienced organisational psychologist, executive and team coach. As the Founder of Beacon Consulting, she partners with leaders and organisations to empower and foster the mindsets, habits, and cultures that drive sustainable growth, focusing on cultivating empathy, connection, and innovative thinking. Alongside her consulting work, she is a guest lecturer at King’s College London and is currently pursuing a doctorate focused on helping virtual and hybrid teams and leaders thrive.
