Free from the constraints of traditional education, this exciting week invites participants to play, challenge themselves, take risks and begin to experiment, taking their first steps to become the theatre makers of the future.

Along the way, you'll get to work with some of the best creative practitioners in the South West and beyond.

We want to give our participants access to the industry’s most exciting and innovative thinkers and makers – and work alongside others, united by a shared vision to radically re-address common misperceptions about the work young people are capable of making.

We are passionate about empowering the next generation of theatre makers to go boldly.

Our Young Theatre Makers group invites young people ages 16 - 21 from different disciplines to come together as an ensemble and create bold new work.

Led by a professional award winning theatre maker, the group will work through an intensive week of devising, performance and ensemble building exercises. Gaining an insight into a professional theatre company’s process.

We are interested in applicants who are interested in a range of roles in the industry, so if you are a director, writer, actor or designer - this week is for you.

How the three days will look:

- Timings: 10am - 4pm with an hour break for lunch.
- Friday: performance day with tech and dress rehearsals. The work in progress will be performed in front of an invited audience.
- Parents, guardians and friends will be invited to the final performance.
