“This is a beautiful day.
It is a new day.
We are together, we are unified.”
(Primal Scream, Come Together, 1991)

In a choir rehearsal room in Nibley Stoke, a group of people gather to sing songs together. Songs of connection, songs of solitude. Songs about protest, emails, tiredness, grief, the Minister for Loneliness and the impossibility of the universe.

Performed by a company of local adults, composer and choir leader Isolde Freeth-Hale creates a song cycle about togetherness and loneliness in the modern world. Directed by Stephanie Kempson, WHERE WE ARE NOW features a blend of improvisation, folk, world songs, blues and jazz, all devised and inspired by the lives of the performers.

Also features: free tea and cake.
