Showing from Mon 25 — Sat 30 May

Discover why Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap has kept people guessing for so long, becoming the longest running show of any kind in the history of theatre.

The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be?

One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment, the identity and the motive of the murderer are finally revealed.

Experience shuddering suspense and a brilliantly intricate plot where murder lurks around every corner. Susan Penhaligon is the star of Bouquet of Barbed Wire and A Fine Romance.

“The cleverest murder mystery of the British theatre. I think ‘The Mousetrap’ could run forever” Daily Telegraph

“A truly entertaining classic thriller” Sunday Times

“Deservedly a classic among murder thrillers” Observer

“A marvellous mystery… a dizzying play of suspense and paranoia” WhatsOnStage

“What a wily mistress of criminal ceremonies Agatha Christie is. She is like a perfect hostess serving hemlock at a dinner party” Evening Standard, 1953
