Two of the greatest British actors of their generation appear on stage together for the very fi rst time. This UK premiere production, which opens in Bath immediately prior to the West End, is a searing exploration of love, compassion and the fragility of life.

The Height of the Storm is a beautifully compelling family drama by Florian Zeller, “the most exciting playwright of our time” (Guardian). His Olivier award-winning play The Father, produced by Theatre Royal Bath Productions, opened in Bath before becoming one of the outstanding West End and Broadway hits of recent years.

Dame Eileen Atkins is a three-time Olivier award-winning actress. She is known for her BAFTA and Emmy award-winning performance in Cranford, as well as roles in films including Gosford Park, The Hours and Robin Hood. Her many stage appearances include Honour, Retreat from Moscow and Ellen Terry. She recently starred in Netfl ix’s The Crown as Queen Mary.

Jonathan Pryce is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning actor of stage and screen. His varied work includes lauded performances in fi lms including Brazil, Glengarry Glen Ross, Carrington and Evita and on stage in a landmark international tour of The Merchant of Venice, Comedians for which he received a Tony Award, Miss Saigon on both sides of the Atlantic and an acclaimed production of The Caretaker. He most recently appeared as the High Sparrow in the hugely successful Game of Thrones.

A former Artistic Director of the Almeida Theatre, Jonathan Kent’s numerous distinguished productions include Phèdre; Hamlet; King Lear; Coriolanus / Richard II; Naked and Medea. He has worked extensively in the West End, on Broadway and at the National Theatre.

All tickets for Main House productions include a £2 building levy.

There is a lift for wheelchair users from the Theatre foyer to the Stalls and Royal Circle levels. The Dress Circle and Grand Circle are stair access only.
