The Great Big Egg Hunt

  • 13 April - 12 May

Event Information

13 April - 12 May
Treasure hunt around the City Centre
Free entry, donations to the egg welcomed

Grab a map, and hunt down all the individually decorated 12” high eggs located around the City, answer the questions and hand in your completed map for a chance to win some great prizes, including tickets to the Theatre Royal Bath’s Pantomime – Beauty and the Beast.

The Great Big egg Hunt will run from 13 April through to the 12 May and with up to 30 eggs being made available, there will be plenty of time to find every single egg. This great community event involves the Guildhall Market and Kingsmead Square, from Walcot to Widcombe and pretty much everywhere in between!

The city-wide event is free to enter, but we would be thrilled if everyone who dropped off a completed map also made a small donation. All monies raised from the egg hunt will go towards the egg theatre’s bursary fund and accessibility fund. It is a core belief here at the egg, that theatre and the arts should be accessible to every child – but we can only do this with your help.

Children are also being encouraged to send in their egg pictures or post them on facebook or twitter using #greatbigegghunt  It could be a drawing, painting or a photo of an egg that you have decorated! Helen from the Taste of Bath will be one of our picture competition judges, and you could win a fabulous Taste of Bath hamper!

With special thanks to The Framing Workshop, The San Francisco Fudge Factory, The Guild Co-working Hub, Zenith Global, Nicholas Wylde, Southgate and all of our egg hunt sponsors.

Maps will be available from the egg café and many of the egg locations. Completed maps can be handed in at the egg café or posted to: Anji Henderson, Theatre Royal Bath, Sawclose Bath BA1 1ET
