Spring 1933, local bank manager Mr Douglas Treadwell was heading home after a busy day when he was set upon in the street. His briefcase was taken, and he was left with fatal injuries.
Was his death simply an opportunist street theft that had gone wrong? Was there something in the briefcase that the thief was after?
