Previous participant feedback

Led by director Sita Calvert-Ennals, this week-long intensive summer school gives aspiring actors the chance to develop skills, grow confidence and build a robust toolkit to fall back on in performance.

Using techniques pioneered by directors such as Mike Leigh, Katie Mitchell and Sita’s own methods, over five days, you’ll investigate the process for developing character, before using a variety of exercises, games and long-form improvisation techniques to build that character into a story.  At the end of the week, you’ll share that story with the group.

This summer school is suitable for all, particularly those with an interest in performing and having fun.
