Are you interested in learning more about spoken word? Do you want to perform poetry or hear your work come to life?

Whether you’ve never written before, or are a seasoned performer who’d like to further develop your art, you are warmly invited to this short skills and performance project, in association with Bristol’s brilliant spoken word night, Blahblahblah.

Led by novelist, lecturer and multiple poetry slam champion, Anna Freeman, this short series of workshops will take you from sparking ideas all the way through to performance techniques, in a safe and friendly environment. We’ll look at the best ways to get ideas across, how to generate powerful images in the mind of an audience, comic timing and more.

At the end of the project, on Sun 31 March, we’ll host a public sharing, to which you’ll be invited – but absolutely not required – to perform your work alongside some of Anna’s.

Suitable for adults of any age and experience.
