As our new Prime Minister settles into Number Ten, this revival of Laura Wade’s provocative dark comedy could not be more timely.

When it opened at the Royal Court Theatre in 2010, Posh caused a sensation. Inspired by the antics of the infamous Bullingdon Club, the all-male dining club for Oxford undergraduates – of which David Cameron, George Osborne and  Boris Johnson were members – the bad behaviour of the ruling elite was under scrutiny as never before. These were the young men who would become the establishment and one day run our country.

The Riot Club are back in business. This time on one condition. They must behave. Keep it out of the Daily Mail. Preserve the reputation of the club. After the mishaps of this exclusive Oxford group at their last dinner, their President has promised its ex-members not to bring the club back into public disrepute. At a tough political time the reputation of the PM cannot be tarnished.

Tyger Drew-Honey (Jake in Outnumbered, Cuckoo) stars in this provocative dark-comedy, making his stage debut as Alistair Ryle, the toff with a chip on his shoulder.

Laura Wade is the author of Home, I’m Darling, the winner of the 2019 Best New Comedy Olivier Award which enjoyed a sell-out run at the Theatre Royal in April.

Please note, POSH contains very strong language and mature themes.
