Find the Joy is an end of term showcase, championing new work presented by students on the Performing & Production Arts course at Bath Theatre Academy.

The programme aims to celebrate life, by finding the joy in every moment.

This final project is the culmination of our students’ creative process, harnessing the skills they have explored and developed over their two years of study.

Join us in celebrating their work.

Performance 1: Checking In

Company: Four Fellas

Performers: Ana Snook, Aaron Hillier, Kez Rodaway, Jenna Newport

Four rooms.  Four people. Four stories.

A struggling musician, his loyal fun-loving sister, her beautifully bonkers best mate and a mysterious stranger all find themselves together in one hotel; after one night, they will never be the same again in this dark comedy.

Performance 2: Life’s A Drag

Company: 2 in 1

Performers: Lauren Macaulay, Adam Ball, Sam Moore

When Jake is scared about becoming a drag queen, we take a journey into his mind and follow his path to becoming the drag queen he has always dreamed of being, with the help of his fairy drag mother.

Performance 3: A series of fortunate events

Company: Golden Pen

Performers: Jasmine Lye

“We Need to listen, hand on heart, to voice around us, in cafes, in parks, on busy school busses, in those places that surround us”

What was your most joyful moment?

Do you know the reason for your best friends’ smile?

Maybe you’ve wondered what makes your neighbour laugh fondly.

In this feel good verbatim and spoken word piece, you’ll experience the fondest memories of many residents in our community, and perhaps, reminisce on some of your own. Sit back, tune in and hear the voices of Bath.
