Ages 18+

Performed on Sun 1 Sep

A glorious evening of ten semi-staged rehearsed readings by members of the TRB Writers’ Group.

The word ‘falling’ conjures many a mood… a tumble from grace, a hot-blooded, all-consuming love, a trip, a descent, a submission… Following a year under the tuition of playwright/director Matt Grinter, 10 writers explore what the word means to them, in ten remarkably varied short plays and excerpts.

Each 10-minute work-in-progress piece will be performed script-in-hand by local actors with time set aside for a brief Q&A at the end of each half. The plays to be presented are listed below.

Contains adults themes.

BEFORE THEY ARRIVE by Andrew Thackeray
PRATFALLING by Annette Kane
CLINICAL by Charlotte Souter
LEAVING by Charlotte Turner-McMullan
THE BALL OF STRING by Doc Watson
FALLING by Howard Gardiner
79 AD by Linda Morse
A GAME OF TWO HALVES by Merlin Goldman
CLEARING by Nicola Rodriguez
FALLING by Sally Lewis

The evening will also include a short Q&A.
