Engage is back and offering a wide range of workshops, courses and dramatic delights to feed your theatrical appetite.

A two-day professional development course for practitioners, facilitators and theatre artists that work with children and young people.

Demystify the world of devising work that is both relevant and peternant to young people today, while developing in the co-learning pedagogy of the egg.

During the two days you will develop your understanding in:

  • Holistic rehearsal room processes and creating an inclusive co-learning environment
  • Introducing structure and inspiring self-editing
  • Producing practices that help launch young people’s work into the world

Run by key members of the egg’s Education department and perfect for practitioners at all levels looking to deepen their understanding of working with young people in the room. This will be specifically aimed at devising with young people in upper KS2 and KS3.

A take-away pack with exercise suggestions and a devising toolkit will be available following the course, as well as a chance to connect and share your own practices with the egg staff and each other.

The Engage programme at the Theatre Royal Bath is generously supported by the trustees of the Estate of Margot Boyd
