YPT Urban Arts

YPT Urban Arts is for young people aged 13 – 21, who are interested in creating contemporary exciting work that challenges and engages new audiences. Mixing dance, MC’ing and acting, the group are led by professional theatre practitioners in association with Black Families Education Support Group, www.blackfamilies.org.uk

Since they were formed, YPT Urban Arts have successfully produced a number of productions and performances to a diverse range of audiences:

Participants for Urban Arts are referred by key partnership organisations, with a focus on diversifying the young people who take part in egg activities. Key partners include B&NES Youth Services, Social Services, Youth Offending Team & B&NES Behavioural Support Team.
