Daniel Kitson
EDINBURGH PREVIEW - 66a CHURCH ROAD
Tuesday 22nd – Saturday 26th July
The unique Daniel Kitson returns to the Ustinov with a brand new performance prior to the Edinburgh Festival.
WORK IN PROGRESS
66a Church Road
A Lament, Made of Memories and Kept in Suitcases by Daniel Kitson
Last September I had to move out of my flat after living there for almost six years. I didn’t want to. I lived alone. I am single. 66a Church Road was the longest relationship of my life. This is a break up show. For my flat.
Daniel Kitson – London May 2008
This is a Work In Progress towards Daniel’s new show, being written for the Edinburgh festival. Stories will be told, props will be played with. Ideas will take shape and, as the month of august draws ever closer, panic will doubtless set in.
This entirely new show follows on the heels of the sell-out C-90, which was voted number two in the top comedy events of 2007 in Venue Magazine’s Top Banana Awards and an Argus Angel Award at the 2007 Brighton Festival. Kitson also won the Barry Award – named after veteran Australian comedian Barry Humphries – at the 2007 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
