Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea
Presented by 1927
Thursday 2nd – Saturday 4th October
1927’s multiple award-winning theatrical cabaret brilliantly recreates the seedy nightclubs of 20s Berlin. Ingeniously combining live music, silent film (in which the performers interact with animations), this hugely acclaimed show takes audiences on a deliciously surreal journey. Hapless cats, marauding gingerbread men and cross-dressing devils all make an appearance, not to mention the sinister twins and their misfortunate guests. Compared – justifiably – by critics to the award winning West End production Shockheaded Peter.
“Executed with such breathtaking wit and aplomb that you cannot help falling for its witty, sinister charms” - Lyn Gardner, Guardian
