The project will cost around £3m. Two thirds of this amount will come from the Theatre Royal Bath itself, with the remaining amount to be raised from individuals, trusts and businesses. The 2010 Appeal was launched in October 2009 and support has been growing steadily over the last few months. The good news is that with the help of the Appeal Group, headed by Bel Mooney, we have made significant progress and have raised enough money to start the project imminently. We still have a further £400,000 to go before we reach our target so we ask you all as theatre lovers to make a contribution to our appeal at whatever level you can. With your help as a Supporter, a Top Brass or a High Flyer, we can conserve, improve and safeguard the Theatre so it can continue to entertain you and future theatre lovers for the next fifty years and beyond.

If you are a UK taxpayer, the Theatre can recover an additional 25p for every £1 you give from the tax you have already
paid. To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount the charity
will claim in the tax year. If you are a higher rate tax payer, you may be able to claim further tax relief on any donations
that you have made under the Gift Aid scheme. To assist with your tax return, the Theatre Royal Bath can provide a
receipt for any donations that you have made. If your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income,
you must cancel your declaration.
