Volunteering, student and project placements

As well as week-long work experience placements for GCSE and A-Level students aged 18 and under, we are occasionally able to offer undergraduate student placements, project placements or other opportunities for adult volunteers. Often we advertise these via Facebook or we will post specific opportunities on this page too.

Volunteering

Engage run a Host programme for volunteers who assist our Front of House team in welcoming audiences to the theatre and ensuring they enjoy their time with us. Engage Hosts are stationed within the auditorium during the show.

If you are interested in becoming a Host, or volunteering in another capacity, please contact engage@theatreroyal.org.uk

Student placements

If you are studying theatre, drama or a related subject and are required to undertake a placement as part of your degree or equivalent course, we would be happy to hear from you. Please contact engage@theatreroyal.org.uk stating your area(s) of interest or expertise, college/university or equivalent institution, course title, course leader, your year of study and an idea of your availability.

Project placements

We are also able to offer specific volunteer placements to any adult, to work on a specific project over a fixed period of time. As above, if you are potentially interested in this, please contact engage@theatreroyal.org.uk stating your area(s) of interest and an idea of your availability.
