With Paula Byrne and Jonathan Bate

Look to Your Wife

Look to Your Wife

Overview

Paula Byrne is a best selling writer, the author of The Genius of Jane Austen, whose recent titles have all made the Sunday Times best-seller list.

“Look to your wife”, a quote from Othello, is her debut novel and a contemporary take on Shakespeare's great tragic play. It is a witty, wholly entrancing story of the pleasures, pain and obsessions of present day life.

She will be in conversation with her husband, Sir Jonathan Bate, a Shakespearean scholar, broadcaster and novelist, for a fascinating and lively discussion about the similarities between the two stories.
