Overview
Winner of the 2006 Obie Award, and nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, Red Light Winter is a compelling, poetic, erotic and unforgettable piece of theatre.
Two thirty-something New Yorkers, Matt and Davis, once college room-mates, go to Amsterdam to rekindle their friendship and get away from their lives. They find themselves thrown into a bizarre love triangle with a beautiful young prostitute named Christina. But the romance they discover in Europe is eventually overshadowed by the truth they discover back home, the consquences of which will alter their lives forever.
Adam Rapp is emerging as one of the most promising and important voices in contemporary American Thaetre. Red Light Winter was originally produced by Chicago's legendary Steppenwolf Theater, and transferred to Off-Broadway where it was a hit with critics and audiences alike.
Keir Charles has worked extensively with the RSC and with the National Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith and Royal Court; Ilan Goodman has worked with the National Theatre, Royal Court and Old Vic and Sally Tatum has worked with the RSC, Shakespeare's Globe and played Queenie in This Happy Breed in the 2011 Peter Hall Season in Bath.
