The direction was crisp and imaginative and you got the best from your young cast... It was a thrill to see it performed at the National Theatre.

Parent of Bedbug cast member

On Thursday 30th June 2016, members of the TheatreSchool performed Bedbug at London's National Theatre Connections Festival.. They were one of 12 selected from over 400 companies to represent the breadth, and best, of youth theatre from across the country. It is a testament to the artistry and professionalism of the young people, and demonstrates the quality the Theatre School offers to all members.

My Son has attended since the age of 12 and it has been the place where his confidence has grown. He has discovered his passion for acting, been given fantastic opportunities and met lifelong friends.

We run weekly sessions for young people aged 5-18, offering a range of skills workshops in a variety of theatre disciplines and creative arts. Our youngest members engage with the arts through creative play that nurtures their development. From age 12 upwards, members can choose to specialise in Acting or Backstage, working with professional theatre-makers to create high quality productions in the egg and other venues. We are an inclusive youth theatre that aims to give its members exceptional experiences as the theatre-makers of the future.

The Theatre School is the highlight of my daughter’s week, and is a fantastic out-of-school experience for her.

It was my pleasure to come along to the awards, it's such a special place for them all and there is a real sense of family there
