Overview

This year Dick Whittington promises everything you would dream of in a traditional family pantomime with a fantastic cast and the much-loved story of a poor boy who sets off to make his fortune in London and all the adventures he encounters along the way.

Naomi Wilkinson is one of children’s television’s best-loved presenters. The star of BBC 2’s Saturday morning show, Live’n’Deadly and Milkshake! on Channel 5 for ten years, she will bring her bubbly personality to the role of Dick.

Chris Harris is nothing less than an institution in the world of pantomime. He returns to play the role of Sarah the Cook after fantastic reviews and audience comments last year for his triumphant Widow Twankey and to direct the show.

Mark Moraghan is a King Rat to swoon for – as long as you’re booing him! Best known for his regular roles in Holby City, Dream Team, Brookside and Harry Enfield, he recently starred as Bob in Priscilla Queen of the Desert in the West End and has a fine singing voice.

Jon Monie returns to play Idle Jack complete with the mischievous comedy and hilarious antics Bath panto regulars love.

Laura Clements plays Alice Fitzwarren, with Carrie Ellis as Fairy Bow Bells; Richard Colson as Alderman Fitzwarren and, once again, the delightful babes from Bath’s Dorothy Coleborn School.

A glorious fusion of glittering spectacle, lively song and dance routines and the usual schoolboy humour that is beloved by young and old alike ... This is truly a show that is a Christmas treat for all the family with beautiful sets, toe-tapping arrangements of traditional songs and an excellent orchestra - Bath Chronicle

4 Star Rating A genuinely funny evening...had me helpless with laughter, gasping for breath as tears poured down my cheeks -★★★★ WhatsOnStage.com

Delivers colour, spectacle, song, dance and, above all, fun by the bucketful...The underwater and dream sequences were spectacular - Bristol Evening Post

A great family show which will be enjoyed by grandparents and toddlers alike. And what better time to come together than at Christmas - Gloucester Gazette

It's all great fun - Venue Magazine

NAOMI WILKINSON : The star of BBC2's Live 'n' Deadly, looks born to the role of Jack

MARK MORAGHAN : Splendidly villainous ... he is assisted by the cutest little rat pack of tiny dancers from The Dorothy Coleborn School of Dancing whose youngsters are a joy

CHRIS HARRIS AND JON MONIE : These two are like the Morecambe and Wise of the panto world – you can feel a rustle of comedic anticipation all around the auditorium as soon as they appear on stage. They are funny in whatever roles they assume, masters of their craft and they know just how to bring delight to a family audience

    ...from The Bath Chronicle
