“Wild hilarity…a classic night of Ayckbourn” - Daily Telegraph
Get your seasonal celebrations off to a superb start with a visit to this vintage Ayckbourn comedy which was a huge hit in the West End last Christmas.
Three couples take it in turns to entertain each other at pre-Christmas drinks. As with most parties, the main event takes place in the kitchen while the party rampages in the next room. The first bash is at the Hopcrofts where havoc ensues as they attempt to impress their high-powered friends – but that’s nothing compared to what happens over the next two years when the friends return their hospitality!
Absurd Person Singular features an all star cast including Sara Crowe, known for Four Weddings and a Funeral and Acorn Antiques – the musical, Matthew Cottle who starred in the hilarious BBC comedy Game On, Honeysuckle Weeks who starred in the hit ITV drama Foyle’s War, Marc Bannerman, best known for his role as Gianni Di Marco in Eastenders and most recently in I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here!,Deborah Grant, well known for her roles in Bouquet of Barbed Wire, Bergerac and who most recently appeared the BBC’s hit series Not Going Out and David Griffin from such favourites as Keeping Up Appearances and Hi-de-Hi.
